How to Safely Ship A Saddle

I get questions sometimes on how and who best to ship a saddle with so here goes: a large box with bubble wrap or newspaper to act as a cushion, well labeled, lots of tape to secure.  I've been doing it this way for 30 plus years and have had no issues. The photo is of a pretty County Saddle I had sent to me for repairs earlier this year from Alabama. The owner shipped it via UPS  - wrapped in a couple of dry cleaning bags. It arrived without a scratch and in perfect shape; UPS two thumbs up. USPS is a close 2nd; forget the rest of them whoever they are.   Ridgley Davis, Saddler, Maryland Saddlery
