Saddle Trials - Local

Are you within driving distance of one of our three store locations? Read on for our local saddle trial policy.

You have seven days to try the saddle(s) you've signed out.

You can take up to three saddles at a time to try.

Yes! It can take up to 1-2 weeks to transfer saddles. Check the description of the saddle you're interested in trying and find the location the saddle is stocked. This is the store you'll contact to initiate the transfer. You can also send us a message through the chat widget here on our site. Once your saddle arrives we will call you.

Awesome! We're so happy you've found a match for you and your horse! Call the store you signed the saddles out from and let us know you'll be keeping the saddle. Then you have two options: we can charge the card left when you signed out the saddles, or you can purchase the saddle through our website.

No worries! Return the saddle to the Maryland Saddlery location closest to you.

Extensions are granted on a case by case basis. Contact the store from which you borrowed the saddle and we'd be happy to discuss with you.

Yes, saddles taken on trial can be returned to any of our locations, though it's preferred if you can return them to the same store you signed them out from.

If a saddle is in any way scratched, damaged, or otherwise altered from the condition in which you signed it out, notify the store from which you borrowed the saddle immediately and ask to speak to a manager.

Saddle Trials - Non-local

Live too far away to visit our stores, but still want to try a saddle? We've got you covered, read on!

If you are not able to drive to visit one of our stores, then yes. A saddle must be paid for in full before we can ship it out to you. There is a 12% restocking fee on all saddles purchased through the website, whether it is shipped back or returned in store. If you're local to our stores, we strongly recommend a local trial. See the section above for details.

You have 3 days, not including the date of delivery, to try the saddle on your horse and decide if you want to keep it or return it. Please note that the saddle must be in the same condition as when you received it, with all original tags attached and no marks, scratches or damage. There is a 12% restocking fee on all returned saddles that were purchased through the website. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

If you're not local to any of our stores, you can try more than one saddle at a time, but the saddles must be paid for in full up front. If the saddle(s) do not work for you, you're responsible for return shipping and insurance, and there is a 12% restocking fee deducted from your refund.

Awesome, enjoy your saddle! While you do not need to contact us to confirm you will be keeping the saddle, you're welcome to and we'd love to hear from you.

We're sorry to hear you didn't find your dream saddle yet! Fill out this Saddle Return Form and include it with the saddle when you ship it back. The saddle should be shipped with insurance via UPS or FedEx, not with USPS.

PLEASE NOTE: Once the saddle arrives back with us and is inspected, you'll be refunded less a 12% restocking fee and any initial shipping charges. Any saddle purchased through the website that is returned is subject to a restocking fee.

We currently offer several tiers of flat rate shipping. Rates are provided at checkout. Saddles are shipped fully insured via UPS.

Delivery times are estimated and are not guaranteed.

We offer shipping via UPS and USPS. You order will be shipped via the fastest standard rate available.

Orders typically ship in 1-3 business days. Orders are not shipped on weekends. Please allow additional processing time for large orders and store pick up orders.

Yes, we are happy to accommodate you as best we can. If you need an order expedited, please reach out to us via chat, email, or phone to ensure we can meet your needs prior to placing your order.

Yes! At checkout choose the location at which you'd like to pick the order up. Exclusions may apply. If you select one of these options, we will contact you when your order is ready for pickup. It can take up to 1-2 weeks to transfer items between stores.

We do not currently offer shipping outside of the continental United States.

If you need to change or cancel your order after it's been placed, please contact us immediately at info@marylandsaddlery.com or call 410-771-4135. Orders that have been shipped cannot be changed or cancelled unless items are returned at the buyer's expense.

When your order is placed, you'll receive a confirmation email to the email address provided with your order. This page will contain a link to an Order Status page where you can check status, expected delivery, and more. You will also receive a tracking link when the shipping label is created via email.

Returns

We want to be sure you LOVE what you ordered! Need to make a return? No problem.

Yes. Your satisfaction is our top priority!

Returns (excluding saddles - see our Non-local Trial Policy for more details) must be received or postmarked within seven days of delivery for a refund. Items returned outside of this range may not be eligible for a refund.

If you feel you received the wrong item, or if it's not as described, please reach out to us immediately at info@marylandsaddlery.com. We would be happy to assist you!

Orders returned within the return window will be refunded to the original form of payment within 1-3 business days of receipt and inspection of the item. It may take extra time once the refund is processed for it to reflect on your bank statement. Initial shipping charges will not be refunded. Orders returned outside of the return window may not be eligible for a return, or may be refunded in the form of store credit.

While we do not cover return shipping costs, we would be happy to help provide you with a label if you need one. Any return label costs will be deducted from your refund amount. Actual return shipping costs will vary and are the buyer's responsibility. Your return label will be delivered by email. Reach out to us at info@marylandsaddlery.com with your name and order number and we'd be happy to help.

Yes! We offer physical gift cards that are valid for use at any of our three storefront locations, as well as digital gift cards that can be used in-store or online at marylandsaddlery.com.

If you purchase a gift card in-store, you will receive a physical gift card. These are only eligible for use in-store.

If you purchase a gift card online, it will be delivered automatically to the email address provided with the order. This e-gift card is eligible for use in-store and online.
